履修上の注意または履修条件	The focus of this class is on COMMUNICATION SKILLS and ENJOYING COMMUNICATING. Class activities will involve interaction with the other students in the class. Students will be expected to actively participate in small group work activities as part of their final score.
受講心得	Attendance(主席） of every class is very important. Effort(動力) is more important than ability(英語力）.
教科書	All class materials will be prepared by the teacher and copied for the students.

授業の目的	English is a tool for communication. (英語はコミュニケーションの為の道具です）　The main purpose of this course is to teach communication skills and give students a chance to practice and improve those skills. Here at NBU we are very lucky to have students fom many different countries so many activities will include cross-cultural learning and communication.
授業の概要
授業計画	○Week 1: Introduction Lesson- Group Work- Talking about SPRING VACATION and plans for this year. ○Week 2: Questions about the PAST. Making and asnwering questions about things in the past. Pair work and Group work activity ○Week 3: Using SHOULD and SHOULD NOT. Question and answer exercises. ○Week 4: OPINOINS Lesson 1- Opinions from around the world. Agree and Disagree exercise ○Week 5: Opinions Lesson 2- What do you think? Asking and Agreeing or Disagreeing with other people's opinions. ○Week 6: Short Story Reading Exercise 1- Reading for information and answering questions about the readings ○Week 7: Short Story Reading Exercise 2- Reading for information and answering questions about the readings ○Week 8: Mid Term Test- Small Review Test of Weeks 1 through 7 ○Week 9: Conversation Practice- Unit One- Practice Reading and Understanding Long Conversations. Questions and Answers. Conversation Practice ○Week 10: Conversation Practice- Unit Two- Practice Reading and Understanding Long Conversations. Questions and Answers.
